One For Sorrow by Christopher Barzak

One For Sorrow definitely gets points for originality.  But, while the premise was unusual, I felt that something was missing.  Perhaps because I’m not a teenager, or, maybe, because of something else, I didn’t get a lot of emotion from this book.

I enjoyed the storyline immensely, and I believe that Mr. Barzack shows a great deal of promise, but it didn’t really make me feel much of anything.  On a scale of one to five, I give this debut offering three-and-a-half stars.

Read it, certainly, especially if you are fifteen.  Hopefully, it will move you more than it did me.
