Genuine Denim

Like the rest of the country, we are getting a taste of autumn.  Oh, blessed cooler air.  Of course, as we are only in mid-September, we’ll probably pay for the wonderful respite with a last blast heat wave.  Savor it while it lasts.

I’m almost finished with Oscar Wao.  It’s different from what I usually read, stylistically speaking, but I find that I like it.  I’ll finish it sometime tonight.  Next up will be Julia’s Chocolates then Anthony Capella’s The Various Flavors of Coffee after I pick it up at the library.  I love Anthony Capella!  His books are just delicious.  The only problem is that they make me want Italian food, whatever the hour I’m reading at.

Anyway, here’s my latest scrap kit, Genuine Denim.  The denim in this kit was made with the help of Kentucky Creations’ Digital Denim tutorial.  The fonts used in the word arts are Chic Decay by Last Soundtrack (from dafont.com), and Lainie Day by Soft Horizons (which you can get here).

Genuine Denim contains:

  • 6 papers
  • 1 stitched denim circle
  • 1 stitched denim star
  • 2 frames
  • 4 flowers
  • 1 journal strips
  • 3 bows
  • 2 ribbons
  • 2 ribboned buckles
  • 2 wordarts

Also included with the kit is a Flower Construction Kit to go with the 4 flowers I made.  Just rotate the various layers (I used 33 degrees in either direction) and paste on the center.

Update 2/24/2015: I’ve gone through all of my links and deleted all of those for 4shared. My account there has been discontinued. Unfortunately, this means that many of my early kits are no longer available. If I can find the time, I may attempt to recreate and/or redo some of them.
