The Kite Runner: The Movie

I really don’t see what the negative reaction to this movie is about.  To me, it was really good, staying fairly close to the plot of the book.  There were no serious divergences that I could see.  I still liked Hassan, and loathed Amir and his hypocrite of a father.

Maybe it’s because the book didn’t touch me as much as it did most people.  I much prefer A Thousand Splendid Suns.  If the movie makers mess with that one, I’ll probably bitch, too.

I enjoyed this movie, and, as I did while reading the book, I cried over Hassan’s letter to Amir, even as I wished he’d tell the wuss to go screw himself.
