Beat the Heat

I hope all y’all had a wonderful 4th of July holiday.  Not only did my family celebrate the 4th this past week, but also my niece’s 21st birthday.  It was great!  Lots of good food and, since she’s now legal, drinks.  We didn’t get her drunk, but it was close.  🙂  I’m sure her friends will take care of that soon enough.  Food, drink, and summer fun . . .

This kit was inspired by the color swatch used for the March Color Challenge over at Scrapbook-Bytes.  When I saw it, my head immediately filled with images of sipping a cold drinks by the pool, or enjoying some ice cream.  Anything to cool off and beat the heat.

Beat the Heat contains:

  • 15 papers
  • 15 labels (one is blank)
  • 5 glitter tiles
  • 5 flowers
  • 5 string flowers
  • 5 frames
  • 5 sequins
  • 4 drinks
  • 4 curled ribbons
  • 3 fruitsicles
  • 2 Popsicle
  • 1 Popsicle stick
  • 2 banners
  • 1 awning
  • 2 umbrellas
  • 1 thermometer
  • 1 alpha (upper- and lowercase letters only)

The alpha was made using OliJo Bold, which you can download from dafont.com.  Jiffy Regular is the font on the labels.  If you don’t already have it with Windows, you can purchase it here.

I used a few tutorials while making this kit:
