Bragbook Template Pack

I was playing around in PSP, bored, but not really interested in working on one of the kits I have in progress, and I came up with some templates.  Let’s call them an iNSD Eve present.  🙂

There are 10 templates, all together.  I saved each of them as .psp (Paint Shop Pro), .psd (Photoshop), and .xcf (GIMP), and put the files for each program in their own zip file.  Just download the file with the templates for your program of choice.

Remember, a template is just a pattern.  You don’t have to follow it exactly.  Replace photos with papers or papers with photos.  Use more or fewer elements.  If you want stitches, then use stitches.  Ribbons instead of papers.  Place the titles and journaling where you want them.  Use your imagination.

Here’s a little inspiration:

Laughs & Giggles Bragbook Pages

Good morning, y’all.  Look at what I have for you to play with today:

Eight bragbook pages, 800 x 600 pixels (2.667 x 2 inches) each.  A couple of them are based on layouts I did of my nephew, Brady.  Some of them are birthday themed, some aren’t.  One is “unbirthday” themed!

Also, I’ve included a separate PNG file for one of the pages to more easily insert the pictures (the one with the graph paper background).  Just copy and past the template layer onto the page then send to bottom so that the black border doesn’t show.

All papers and elements come from my Laugh! and Birthday Giggles kits, and my Doodled Circle Frames.

The fonts used are “Pea Faith Dots” from Kevin and Amanda and KR Butterfly by Kat’s Fun Fonts from Search Free Fonts.

Laugh Brag Book QP

Here’s a quick little freebie for you on this wet and windy Monday morning:  Two brag book pages.  One for your little boy, and one for your little tom-boy.

The font is “pea faith dots” from Kevin and Amanda.

Summer’s End Brag Book

Thank you all very much who commented about this kit, and who downloaded it, of course.  🙂

There have been so many comments about the lace.  Here are some Paint Shop Pro tutorials, some of which I used to learn how to make the elements in the kit:

I got rather bored sometime yesterday, just can’t get into McCarthy’s writing style.  I’ll give it another shot later on, but I think I’ll probably abandon the trilogy, and probably take The Road off of my TBR list.  Anyway, back to my being bored … 🙂

So, I started playing around with the Summer’s End kit, making a 7 page brag book.  A brag book, for those who don’t know, is like a mini-scrapbook.  The kind that doting grandmas can pull out of their purse to show off those pictures.  Mine are created 500 x 300 pixels because I don’t like the drag time I get in PSP when working with large images.

Above:  This is Yoda, named for his ears and the fact that he always looks so serious, sleeping on the lawnmower of all things.  Don’t ask why, I haven’t the faintest idea!

Below:  The one looking at you is Hero, I think, and the one in the branch is Bear.

Below:  Hero is in one picture, and Hershey in the other.  It’s rather difficult to tell them apart when they’re in shadow.

Update 2/24/2015: I’ve gone through all of my links and deleted all of those for 4shared. My account there has been discontinued. Unfortunately, this means that many of my early kits are no longer available. If I can find the time, I may attempt to recreate and/or redo some of them.

Dragonfly Brag Book

Today was my niece’s birthday.  She is 18.  In a few weeks she will be leaving for Tulane.  I am both regretful and relieved.  🙂

We partied pretty much all night last night.  Played Scene It (her favorite game), Trivial Pursuit, Outburst, and Pictionary.  Ate popcorn.  Set off a few fireworks and sparklers.  Knowing her, I’m surprised we didn’t end up playing Lord of the Rings Monopoly, or Disney Songs Karaoke.  Trust me, she has enough of them.  The girl may be 18, but she’s still a Disney fanatic.  I can’t really say anything, though, since I still watch Looney Tunes and Tom and Jerry.

Anyway, in celebration of her special day, I have created 10 brag book pages (500 x 333 pixels) for y’all to play with.

Here are a few sample pages with pictures of the birthday girl.

Happy Birthday, Jac!!!!
